Pre-launch

Toa Health is not open for accounts yet. What follows describes the product being built; it does not yet store health information, and the sign-up screens are a preview rather than a working account. Read the detail.

Private chronic condition management

Managing it for the long haul should not mean carrying it alone.

Toa Health is one private record for the medications, appointments, lab results and daily numbers that come with a chronic condition. You own it, you run it, and the family who help with your care see exactly what you decide to show them.

$9.99 a month. You set up your profile first; billing comes after, not before.

I have type 2 diabetes. For six years I also watched my brother manage dialysis, diabetes and everything that came with them, with his wife and his kids doing the hands-on work every single day.

Between the two of us we were running the most important record of our lives out of memory, a folder of paper, and a group text. Every new doctor meant starting the story over. Every bad week meant nobody could say for certain when it actually started.

I built Toa Health so that record lives in one place, owned by the person it belongs to. Toa means warrior in the Pacific. That is who I built it for.

What it holds

Three things, kept properly.

Not a habit tracker, and not a wellness app. These are the three piles of information that actually decide how a long-term condition goes, and they are usually scattered across a notebook, a phone and somebody's memory.

Daily Log

Stop keeping your numbers in your head.

Insulin and medications, glucose and other vitals, dialysis sessions, symptoms, the meals that matter for your restrictions, and plain notes for everything that does not fit a field. One running record, in order, so the question "when did this start" has an answer instead of a guess.

Care Team & Circle

Stop being the only person who knows the schedule.

Every appointment in one place: nephrologist, endocrinologist, dialysis center, primary care. Then invite the family who help, with permissions you set, so they can see what is coming and take real work off you instead of asking you for an update.

Documents & Plan

Stop digging through a folder in the closet.

Lab results tracked over time, so A1C, creatinine and GFR read as a line instead of a stack of loose printouts. Plus the research and diagnosis notes you have gathered yourself, care directives, insurance cards and IDs; ready the moment a new doctor asks for them.

How it works

Set it up once. Keep it current in two minutes a day.

  1. Create your health profile

Conditions, medications and doses, your care team, the allergies and history you otherwise repeat at every single appointment. Twenty minutes now, and you stop reciting it from memory.

  2. Log the daily facts

Numbers, doses, sessions, symptoms, how you actually felt. Short entries, made on your phone, in the moment. Over weeks they turn into the pattern your doctor has been asking you to describe.

  3. Invite your support circle when ready

Optional, at no extra cost, and entirely on your timing. Invite a spouse, an adult child, a sibling; give each one the level of access you are comfortable with, and change it whenever you want.

Your circle is never required. Plenty of people run Toa Health alone for months before they invite anyone, and some never do.

Pricing

One price. Your whole family included.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Toa Health runs in the browser you already have, on a phone, a tablet or a computer. There is nothing to download, nothing to keep updated, and nothing that stops working when your phone changes.

Where is my health information stored?

Being built, not yet live. Toa Health is not currently storing anyone's health information, and it is not open for accounts. What follows is how it is designed to work.

On Toa Health servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, under an account that belongs to you. You are the owner of the record, not a guest in it.

Circle members see only what your permissions allow, you can change or revoke any person's access at any time, and removing someone takes effect immediately. We do not sell your health information, and we do not share it with advertisers, employers or insurers.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, and the phone is the case it was designed around. Most logging happens standing in a kitchen at 7am or sitting in a dialysis chair, not at a desk. Add Toa Health to your home screen and it opens like any other app.

What happens if I cancel?

Being built, not yet live. There is nothing to cancel yet. This is the intended behaviour once billing opens.

Cancelling stops the billing at the end of the period you have paid for. Before your access ends you can export everything you have logged, documents included, in a format you can keep and hand to a doctor. Your history is yours; we are not going to hold it hostage to keep you subscribed.

Start with today's numbers.

One record, owned by you, that holds the whole picture. Set up your profile first; the billing step comes after that, once you can see what it holds.
